About Kids Culture

Kids Culture at Jefferson Nazarene Church is all about helping kids know they are loved by God and belong here. We create a place where children can have fun, make friends, learn biblical truths, and grow in their relationship with Jesus. From exciting activities to meaningful conversations, we want every child to feel welcomed, valued, and encouraged.

Your First Visit

We know visiting a new church for the first time can feel like a big step, and we want to make the experience simple and welcoming for your family. When you arrive, stop by the Kids Check-In Desk where you can register your child. After check-in, your child will head to their age-appropriate class for a fun and engaging experience filled with friendship, learning, and discovering more about Jesus. We can’t wait to welcome your family and help your child feel right at home!

Safety

The safety and well-being of every child is a priority. All of our Kids Ministry helpers complete video training and background checks before serving with children. Many of our volunteers are parents themselves, bringing the same care and commitment they have for their own children to every child in our ministry. Each child receives a secure check-in name tag to help ensure a safe and organized experience from drop-off to pick-up. Our facility is also equipped with cameras and additional safety measures to help provide a secure environment where families can feel confident and children can learn, grow, and have fun.

What We Teach

We believe kids learn best when they are engaged, loved, and encouraged to grow in their relationship with Jesus. Through Bible lessons, worship, music, activities, and meaningful conversations, we help children discover God’s Word and understand how it applies to their everyday lives. Kids are encouraged to open their Bibles, learn how to navigate Scripture, and become familiar with the books of the Bible by physically finding passages and exploring God’s Word for themselves. Kids worship and music are also a weekly part of our ministry, giving children the opportunity to praise God, learn biblical truths, and grow in confidence as they use their gifts to worship Him.
